ENHANCED DENSITY
Sealsafe® PLUS racks feature 10 rows in height, with the top row always under 2 metres and an increase in the number of cages per square metre.
The TouchSLIM™ PLUS has been developed with the issue of density enhancement in mind: it is a TouchSlim™ with the same
performances as the previous model, and retrofittable with standard Sealsafe caging.
Measuring just 230 mm, it provides significant space saving.

Up to 3-4 single-sided racks or two double-sided ones (see table) can be interlinked to the same TouchSLIM™ PLUS unit, to be positioned preferably in the middle.

|
Cage Self-locking System (CSS)
The cage is suspended on the rack by means of side runners, with an automatic self-locking mechanism (CSS).
|
|
Cage Visual Indicator (CVI)
One of the most outstanding innovations of the Sealsafe® PLUS System is the CVI (Cage Visual Indicator): it is a simple mechanical device that allows the operator to see at a glance whether or not the cage is placed in the right position on the rack. The automatic locking system ensures that cages may be effortlessly removed even from the top and bottom levels.

PRACTICALITY OF USE
The latch-free closure of the cage allows quick cage change and makes the cages easy to wash in tunnel washing machines.
The cage also features a wire bar half lid, which allows direct access to animals, makes for a light cage and assures excellent visibility.

The bottle depression houses the external water bottle which may be removed without the need to open the cage, thus reducing the technicians’ workload. The water bottle flap and the opening have been designed so that they seal as soon as the bottle is removed.

ENHANCED CONTAINMENT
The enhanced containment is achieved by means of a radial silicone gasket built into the cage base and the practicality of use is achieved thanks to a latch-free top.
By lightly pressing the plastic top onto the cage base, two safety buttons close the cage.

|
|
|
The sealing is guaranteed by the snug fit between the top and the lip of the radial silicone gasket, precluding any leakage of aero-allergens.
Air inlet and outlet valves are separated by a means of a plastic divider to avoid any shortcut and are spring loaded and equipped with silicone o-rings in order to seal the cage when it is pulled out of the rack.
The cage is also equipped with a filter retainer formicrobiological filter media or Reemay® filter paper.

The filter retainer is sealed around the perimeter by means of a specially designed silicone gasket. The nylon of the filter and the silicone of the gasket are moulded together, so that they come as a single item.
