Tecniplast USA, Inc. is the USA subsidiary of Tecniplast S.p.a.
Tecniplast USA markets and distributes an assortment of Rodent and Aquatic Housing Systems, Laminar Flow Products, Wash and Automation Equipment to the Laboratory Animal Sciences community throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Tecniplast S.p.a. is a world leader in serving the Laboratory Animal Science community with a strong global brand. Our leadership position in North America, combined with the track record of our parent manufacturer’s operational performance, has given Tecniplast North America unprecedented growth. Additionally, our senior management team in the US has a proven track record of growing the business while forging strategic partnerships for longevity.
Our international sales force in the U.S. and CANADA consists of client representatives with previous experience in the animal science profession. Their technical education and job performance has enabled us to establish strong bonds and prosper with in the animal science community.
WHAT WE DO
Founded in 1949, Tecniplast is a company with almost 60 years of experience in the manufacturing of plastics. The last 40 years have been focused on the Laboratory Animal Industry. In fact, Tecniplast was among the very first companies worldwide to start molding plastic rodent cages for commercial use.
The expansion of business within the world markets has given Tecniplast a number of opportunities to employ its many special talents in providing solutions to customer requirements. We are permanently applying effort to the advancement of our diverse range of animal care products and to improving quality standards and technical expertise therein. Our constant investment in new products, tooling, technologies, automation, production capability, stock availability, staff recruitment and training, together with a certified quality management system, stand clearly in favor of a company that has lead the field since the early 1950’s.
Our portfolio of proprietary products is the most comprehensive of our peers. We leverage vast experience in the manufacturing of rodent housing products with the production of wash automation equipment for the same. In fact, Tecniplast is the only such corporation which directly manufactures and distributes both housing and wash automation equipment.

WHO WE SERVE
The Laboratory Animal Science community isn’t just biotechnology companies but rather a range of industry sectors with a common need for pre-clinical testing. These industry sectors cut across different markets and include manufacturing, services and research activities. The biosciences make up an industry niche that includes scientists, engineers and researchers.
The primary client sector for Tecniplast in North America is with in the research activities of the bioscience industry and commonly referred to as Laboratory Animal Science (LAS). Laboratory animal science is a field devoted to the production, care, and study of laboratory animals used in biomedical research and education.
We serve markets where the underlying dynamics are favorable and include the following:
- Increasing investment in R&D to drive drug discovery.
- Heightened demand for efficiency in drug development.
- Homeland security as a national priority driving demand for safety and decontamination products.
The customers we serve are part of two large and growing markets - the scientific research market and the clinical lab market.
