The TouchSLIMline is a Slimline fitted with amicroprocessor controlled touch screen which adapts the speed of both Supply and Exhaust blowers and features in built Temperature and Relative Humidity sensors.
Simply set the Number and the Type of cages and the required Air Changes per Hour (ACH), and the TouchSLIMline automatically controls the in-cage air flow as well as monitoring and displaying all data in real time.
The TouchSLIMline can signal a number of alarms: Minimum and Maximum Supply Flow, Exhaust Flow, Pressure, Temperature, and Relative Humidity %. All alarm thresholds are easily set by the operator.
|
The optimal range of Air Change per Hour (ACH) into each cage provided by the twin fan modules is from 60 to 80, depending on the configurations and on the pressure mode.
The touch screen display makes adjustment of Supply and Exhaust ACH simple and easy to monitor. In the event of system malfunction operators are alerted by a visual alarm and remote control dry contacts communicating with the BMS. There is no need for system battery back-up because cage microfilters control the CO2 levels within each cage.
Each Sealsafe individually ventilated cage in the HEPA filtered room can maintain either positive or negative pressure.
PRESSURE DIFFERENTIALS may be visually monitored on the touch screen display (optional extra).
The separation of the fan unit from the rack and the multiple linking configuration have demonstrated:
compliance with safety and ergonomics requirements
lower sound and vibration levels in cages
significant increase in mobility and easy movement through doors
lower cost per cage/rodent compared to ventilated racks with individual blowers.

|
Selecting the cage type, keying in the total number of cages chosen, the pressure mode, and the required ACH is very simple (no maths are needed to correctly set the ACH).
|
|
The TouchSLIMLine automatically adapts the blowers to achieve the desired ACH and issues warnings if the user attempts to link non-compatible racks.
|
|
It continuously monitors the status of the HEPA filters, giving an early warning of a forthcoming need for a filter change (approximately 30 days notice) . If this filter alarm is ignored, the low flow alarm will shortly be activated.
The alarm thresholds for signalling Min. & Max. Supply Flow, Exhaust Flow, Pressure; Temperature; RH% can all be set by the operator.
A numerical keyboard permits maximum and minimum alarm parameters to be keyed in.
|
|
Once set the parameters, the TouchSLIMLine automatically controls the in-cage air flow as well as monitoring and displaying all data in real time.
If the TouchSLIMLine reads a data over the set limits the alarm will appear on the display.
Clicking on the Report button displays a list of the last 100 alarms events.
